Richard has been involved with Animal Law for 20+ years, and joined us today about his work in advocating for animal welfare legislation around the country, on behalf of Best Friends Animal Society.
He’s worked in Hawaii where just this year he helped defeat a bill that would have required a census of community cats on the islands, followed by eradication of some. Richard emphasizes the importance of animal advocates getting involved.
After a committee meeting lasting hours, and testimony in opposition by local animal advocates, the Chair decided to scrap the bill.”
