Taking Our Message to the Natural Resources Commission

AFA spoke at the NRC’s January 2020 meeting. The Commission sets policy and oversees the Department of Natural Resources.

We pointed out our common interest in policy and law affecting wildlife.

We also shared two concerns: First is the lack of representation of wildlife advocates and non-consumptive users of our parks, wildlife areas and the other natural resources which abound in our state. Second is the continuing emphasis on consumptive users resulting in missed opportunities to encourage other recreational activities.

AFA has offered to work with the commission before. Here is our January 22, 2016 letter, also provided to the commissioners.
